I’m about to let everyone in on a not so well known cafe in Perth CBD. It serves chocolate, fresh Belgian chocolate that gets flown in from Belgium on a very regular basis. It serves Leonidas chocolate. And they sell it by the gram. It’s high end stuff but well worth it. I recently went there to catch up with a group of good friends. How good is this stuff? Really good. And not to mention somewhat exclusive. Leonidas chocolate is sold through about 1400 stores worldwide. Of the 1400 stores, three are in Australia. One in Sydney, another in Melbourne and one in Perth.

The store in Perth is found in Trinity Arcade. You may have walked past it a dozen times and noticed. It’s just past the antique shop and opposite Trinity Church. It even has little tables outside. It’s a small cafe and the door is always shut, even when open. For the owners care about chocolate and maintain its optimum storage temperature. Literally walk in and breathe in cacao goodness. For the seasoned punter, you’re remembered by face and even at times the drink and chocolate special that you order. If you’re new to the cafe, need not worry as gentle guidance is available.

Be warned though, you will spend more on the chocolate than you do your beverage. And really, that’s the way it ought to be.
